HRH The Prince of Wales is one of the key players in the fight against global warming. In 2007, he set up the Prince’s Rainforests Project, which aims to find solutions to slow down deforestation and, since 2010 he has headed a think tank on sustainable development.
This short introduction to climate change explains in simple terms the mechanisms involved and their consequences for the planet.
HSH Prince Albert of Monaco wished to support this book and wrote the foreword.

The Foundation promotes responsible practices and concrete solutions for the sustainable development of our society. Through engaging primarily with populations and government authorities, it supports innovative initiatives in favour of the preservation of biodiversity and the recognition of the impact of human activities on the natural environment.
As part of this process of promotion and support of outstanding initiatives, the Foundation organised a conference, on 12 and 13 October, devoted to the study of the "great world of wildlife" in territorial management.Read more

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco present at Forum 2000 in Prague
H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco went to Prague on 8 October 2017, to take part in the 21st edition of Forum 2000. Forum 2000 was co-founded in 1996 by the Czech President Valcav Havel, the Japanese philanthropist Yohei Sasakawa, and the writer and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Elie Wiesel.
The main purpose of Forum 2000 conferences is to provide an international discussion platform on different issues and in particular that of democracy, in order to improve international dialogue.Read more
The Foundation attends the Our Ocean conference in Malta
Organised by the European Union, Our Ocean 2017 was held in Malta on 5th and 6th October 2017. This event, initiated by John Kerry, is aimed at inspiring and enhancing a new generation of leaders, entrepreneurs and scientists, as well as civil society, in order to identify solutions and take action to promote a sustainably managed ocean. “The fact that “Our Ocean” is taking place in Malta is a source of great satisfaction for me. It is meaningful recognition for the efforts of the European Union as a whole to help instigate international cooperation in regard to the ocean issue”, we were told by Karmenu Vella, European Commissioner, in charge of environment, maritime affairs and fisheries.Read more

A cycle race linking London to Monaco in aid of the oceans
The “London to Monaco Cycle Ride”, organised by the Blue Marine Foundation with the support of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, will take place from 17th to 26th September 2017. The event, which was enormously successful last year, is aimed at increasing collaboration between the two entities on projects designed to conserve our seas and oceans.Read more
