HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry opened the High Seas Treaty Dialogue - 03/03/2020

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and former US Secretary of State John Kerry jointly opened, the 3 March 2020 in the Principality, the "High Seas Treaty Dialogue", organised by the Norwegian Nobel Institute and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, bringing together a select group of government leaders to discuss the issue of high seas conservation. 

This dialogue initiative, held in Monaco from 3 to 5 March, aimed to concretely advance critical issues remaining ahead of the fourth session of the intergovernmental conference (IGC4) on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction (BBNJ).

The Sovereign Prince and former US Secretary of State had the opportunity to share views on aspects related to the High Seas Treaty as well as tools for the management of marine protected areas.
