Advancing the Science of Limnology and Oceanography

25 – 30 January 2009

ASLO currently has close to 4 000 members from sixty or so countries, making it the largest scientific society in the limnology and oceanography field. Generally speaking, ASLO organizes two congresses a year in North America. The congress is the largest meeting devoted to oceanography in the world. The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation sponsored the organisation for two sessions focusing on the impact of climate change on biodiversity:

- Session 1: Impact of Global Warming on the Polar Marine and Fresh Water Ecosystems

- Session 2: Effects of Global Warming on the Mediterranean Ecosystems
