At the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC 2025), the founding members of the Polar Donors Roundtable (PDR) will come together for an high-level side event, marking the launch of a new philanthropic collaboration dedicated to the Arctic and Antarctic.

The Arctic and Antarctic regions play a vital role in regulating Earth's climate, yet they are warming at rates far exceeding the global average. While the world wakes up to the urgency of climate action, one vital piece remains underfunded and often overlooked: the poles.

This side event will spotlight the collaborative ambition behind the Polar Donors Roundtable: a new platform that brings together philanthropic leaders to foster dialogue, align funding priorities, share knowledge, and explore opportunities to safeguard the poles. Anchored in shared responsibility and long-term commitment, the PDR aims to bridge the growing gap between the scale of urgent needs and the limited support currently available for science, conservation, and communities in the polar regions.

Join us to explore how strategic giving can help secure a resilient future for the Arctic, Antarctic, and our global climate.
