The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation is dedicated to the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development on a global scale. The Foundation supports concrete initiatives of public and private organizations through support for research and studies, technological innovation, and socially-aware practices. Since its launch in 2008, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (Canada) (the “Canadian branch” of the Foundation)  is focused on projects that pertain to three key areas: preservation of the Canadian Arctic regions, the Ocean and biodiversity. The Canadian branch has supported and continues to endorse projects that engage with the Canadian Arctic and sub-Arctic regions, the exploration of biodiversity and the impact of climate change on Canadian communities from coast to coast. Proposals with a lower-latitude focus are considered as well, as long as they have an important Canadian component.

Applications for project funding must be submitted via the Foundation's global call for projects, which opens every year in June and accessible on the "Submit a project" page of website.
