The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2026 Campus of its Re.Generation Future Leaders Program took place last week, from 22 to 30 May, in the Principality of Monaco, bringing together a new cohort of outstanding young environmental leaders from across the world.
Designed to empower the next generation of changemakers and accelerate global action for planetary health, the Re.Generation Future Leaders Program supports emerging talents who have already demonstrated exceptional commitment to environmental protection. The 2026 cohort reflects the diversity and ambition of this initiative, with profiles spanning science, entrepreneurship, Indigenous leadership, climate technology, marine conservation, sustainable fashion, sport, finance and environmental storytelling.
This year’s Future Leaders included Garvita Gulhati, an Indian social entrepreneur working on water conservation and sustainable finance; Aman KC, a Nepalese glaciologist studying climate impacts on mountain ecosystems; Dayana Blanco, an Indigenous regeneration leader from Bolivia restoring high-altitude wetlands; Flora Artzner, a French wingfoil world champion and biodiversity expert; Amber Carter, a British marine social-ecological scientist; Grace Cordsen, an American polar explorer and environmental storyteller; Joseph Nguthiru, a Kenyan climate-tech engineer; Thamires Pontes, a Brazilian entrepreneur developing seaweed-based textile fibres; Ge Yu, a Chinese sustainable fashion entrepreneur; and Fiorella Herrera, a Peruvian marine biology student and environmental advocate.
During the campus, the participants followed an intensive programme combining leadership development, communication training, individual mentoring, masterclasses and field experiences. Co-designed with INSEAD, the training sessions aimed to strengthen the participants’ leadership identity, decision-making capacity, resilience, storytelling skills, public speaking abilities and capacity to lead with impact in complex environmental contexts.
The programme also offered the young leaders a series of individual masterclasses with senior figures from the worlds of sustainability, business, media, philanthropy and ocean protection. The sessions included contributions from Marie-Claire Daveu, Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer at Kering, on the role of the luxury sector in regenerating nature; Christine Amour-Levar, entrepreneur, author and philanthropist, on bold and purpose-driven leadership; Bill O’Dowd, founder and CEO of Dolphin Entertainment, on the power of storytelling to accelerate climate action; Paul Polman, business leader, campaigner and co-author of Net Positive, on driving change in the private sector; and Nadine Fau, Managing Director of Château Galoupet, on sustainable viticulture and the preservation of Mediterranean ecosystems.
A particular highlight of the campus was the ocean-focused day organised in Monaco, which included a scuba diving activity ahead of a masterclass delivered by Paul Watson, environmental activist and ocean defender, founder of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. The session, entitled “Activism: The Ocean Is Not Silent”, offered the cohort an opportunity to connect direct experience of the marine environment with a discussion on ocean protection, activism and the urgent need to defend marine biodiversity.
The campus also included immersive moments across Monaco, including exchanges with institutional representatives, participation in Foundation-related activities, individual interviews and a special meeting with HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco at the Prince’s Palace. These experiences were designed to expose the participants to the Foundation’s ecosystem, strengthen their international network and help them prepare to amplify their messages on the global stage.
“The Re.Generation Future Leaders Program reflects one of the Foundation’s core convictions: that protecting the planet also means investing in the people who will carry this mission forward,” said Romain Ciarlet, Vice-Chairman and CEO of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. “This new cohort brings together remarkable young leaders who combine expertise, courage and a deep sense of responsibility. Through this campus, we aim not only to strengthen their skills, but also to provide them with the visibility, confidence and network they need to influence decision-making and inspire action far beyond Monaco.”
Beyond the campus, the Foundation will continue to accompany the 2026 Future Leaders throughout the coming year, notably by supporting their participation in international events, identifying speaking opportunities, facilitating media exposure and connecting them with strategic partners from within the Foundation’s global network.
