Press release

From June 17th to 20th Monaco’s live Urban Painting festival will unfold on the Casino’s Terraces to support the planet.

The 6th edition of Urban Painting Around the World (UPAW) is back in the Principality with a new identity and will shine on the Terraces of the Casino of Monte-Carlo.

From UPAW to UPAINT. This new identity is aimed at representing the strong connection between the artists, the audience, and the collectors: UPAINT is the crossroads of all those participants that have led the event to its growth. YOU are an integral part of the event, that is the message.

Alberto Colman and his team designed UPAINT to become the face of each future festival, to continue fulfilling its mission of supporting honourable causes together and promoting street art, in Monaco and soon around the world.

This edition will support the “Human-Wildlife Initiative” initiative of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, protecting wildlife in rural and mountains areas neighbouring the south of France.

U COME, U SEE, U PAINT: this year’s tagline says it all. The festival will host interactive activities, such as the “Junior Challenge” – which will be back to showcase Monaco high school student’s creativity, an expo of artworks from the previous festivals – which will be available for purchase in limited editions of ten units, a wall for the public to express their artistic talent, and many more exciting features.

Like previous editions, upon the last day at 6.30pm, Artcurial will beat the auction of the finished art pieces. For the first time, collectors will be able to participate and bid in the auction remotely thanks to our online auction space on Invaluable.com.

Here is the UPAINT Monaco 2022 Crew of Artists: Alice Pasquini, Aura Aerosole & OLDHAUS, Bond Truluv, Bordalo II, Buff Monster, Curtis Hylton, Dan Kitchener, Dario Vella, Futura, Mr One Teas, Pez, Spok Brillor, The London Police, Tim Marsh.
