REGEN at ChangeNOW 2025

Events

Initiative

From April 24 to 26, members of the REGEN 2024–25 Cohort joined changemakers from around the world at ChangeNOW 2025 in Paris—the world’s largest event for solutions to the planet’s most urgent challenges. Over three impactful days, our REGEN leaders brought bold ideas, vital perspectives, and regenerative action to the forefront of global conversations.

Driving the Climate Agenda Forward

Day one began with powerful contributions from climate advocate Nisreen Elsaim, who took the stage to reflect on the 10-year journey of the Paris Agreement. Her insights underscored the need to move from ambition to tangible action, particularly through the integration of climate, biodiversity, and land agendas under the three Rio Conventions. Meanwhile, Sheherazade (Shera) championed inclusive and empathetic leadership in The Future of Leadership panel, highlighting the role of women driving long-term change in global sustainability efforts.

The day also featured a standout side event, Investing in the Blue Economy, moderated by Carla Gautier. The panel spotlighted the intersection of ocean conservation and innovation, with contributions from Nicolas Sdez (CEO of PRONOË and REGEN member), Guillaume Bregeras (2050), and Raphaël Ghiandai (Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco). Together, they explored the role of the blue economy in shaping a sustainable future—an area where the Foundation continues to lead.

Innovation and Action on Day Two

On April 25, Shradha Pandey delivered a passionate call to move beyond fossil fuels in the session Don't Drill, Baby, Don't!, urging investment in people over extraction. Her message: a just, fossil-free future is possible—and necessary.

Later that day, Carla Gautier took to the stage once again in Building Tomorrow: The Future of Construction, laying out a vision for circular, resilient, and community-driven cities. Her session highlighted how rethinking construction can unlock sustainability at scale.

That evening, REGEN alumni and current members gathered for a special cocktail reception, strengthening the network of regenerative leaders and sparking cross-cohort collaboration.

Closing with Courage and Creativity

The final day of ChangeNOW 2025 was a call to collective stewardship. Sheherazade returned to emphasize the need for locally led conservation during Protect, Preserve, Act, reminding audiences that restoring our relationship with nature begins by empowering communities.

In Solutions for a Thriving Planet, Gab Mejia showcased the power of storytelling in conservation. Through his art and photography, including his exhibition Guardians of the Marsh, he invited audiences to reimagine our connection to nature through plural and inclusive narratives.

The Foundation also proudly celebrates the recognition of Nisreen Elsaim and Sheherazade as Women for Change laureates—an honor that reflects their exceptional leadership and dedication to regenerative change.

Looking Ahead

As ChangeNOW 2025 comes to a close, the message from our REGEN leaders is clear: the path to a thriving planet is rooted in community, creativity, and courageous action. We leave Paris inspired—and more committed than ever—to building a regenerative future.
