The second Scientific and Technical Committee of the Foundation.

On Friday 15th of June, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco chaired the second Scientific and Technical Committee of His Foundation.

The meeting mainly focused on the analysis of fifteen new projects pertaining to the Foundation’s three domains of action: Climate Change, Biodiversity and Water. These projects shall be validated only once the Board of Directors approves these projects.

The safeguard of the polar bear in the North Pole and the conservation in Angkor (Cambodia) of species in extinction are examples of some of the projects presented.

The Scientific and Technical Committee studied future partnerships with Mohamed VI of Morocco Foundation for the research and the safeguard of the argan tree and with UNESCO for the protection of natural areas in the Arctic zone.

The Scientific and Technical Committee will meet a third time this year in November to study the future projects that the Foundation will support in 2008.
