The Ocean and Climate Platform, with its network of international experts and scientists, and its 85 member organisations, has designed this project to offer managers, decision-makers in these cities and stakeholders a broad overview and analysis of the various possible responses/solutions.

The goal of the Sea’ties initiative is to facilitate the development of public policies and the implementation of adaptation solutions for coastal cities threatened by rising sea levels

By focusing on a few cities in four geographical regions representative of the diversity of risks (France, Pacific, West Africa, USA), the first stage will characterise the types of response provided, according to their technical, environmental, socio-economic and legal nature and the type of risks they face.

A second stage will organise regional workshops to provide feedback to stakeholders and analyse the key success factors for the implementation of these responses, with a particular focus on environmental and social components.

The results will be presented to decision-makers at regional level and at events organised during the international agenda.
