?The village of Prats-de-Mollo-La-Preste aims to become autonomous in terms of energy thanks to renewable energies. To this end, the project leaders are building several agricultural sheds covered with photovoltaic panels, rehabilitating several hydroelectric dams and building a methanation unit for agricultural waste to heat buildings. In order to manage these infrastructures and adapt energy production to electricity demand, they have created a management structure bringing together the town hall, citizens and the municipal electricity board.
